Chalcopyrite

Chalcopyrite is a copper iron sulfide mineral that crystallizes in the tetragonal system. It is one of the most important copper ores and has a distinctive brassy yellow color. The surface often tarnishes to an iridescent blue or green due to the formation of a thin layer of copper oxide or sulfide.
